According to the Regulation on Dialysis Centers (2019) published in the Official Gazette; "In the centers/units where hemodialysis is performed, the number of non-medical health personnel, which is the basis for operating permit, is determined according to the number of hemodialysis device in the center/unit. There are two non-medical health personnel for the first ten devices, and an additional health personnel for every five additional devices above this number." and “Centers/units have at least one non-medical health personnel for up to five patients in each treatment session, and an additional one for each subsequent five patients.” Pursuant to the articles of this article, it is obligatory to have non-medical health personnel, namely dialysis technicians, in public and private dialysis centers.
According to this, students who successfully complete the dialysis program can be placed in positions opened as dialysis technicians according to the results of the public personnel selection exam (KPSS), or they can work in private hospitals and dialysis centers. Due to the increase in population in our country, the need for health personnel is also increasing.
