OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to enable students to understand and analyze the functioning and financing of the foreign trade process.
Contents of the Course Unit: This course covers fundamental concepts and applications used in foreign trade, processes followed in import and export transactions, documents used in foreign trade, payment and delivery methods, as well as risks encountered in foreign trade and their management.

It defines the basic concepts, types, and role of foreign trade within the economic system.
It explains the stages of export and import transactions within the framework of legislation.
It distinguishes and uses documents used in foreign trade according to their functions.
It interprets customs legislation and customs procedures by relating them to the foreign trade process.
It evaluates international logistics and transportation types holistically with foreign trade transactions.
It evaluates Türkiye's foreign trade regime and related international agreements.
It develops solutions to problems related to foreign trade transactions through real or case studies.
