OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to teach students the main concepts and historical development of e-commerce, which is increasingly important in the global order; to provide information about new generation business models; and to address the relationship of e-commerce with different sectors and markets in light of current developments.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of the course is aimed at teaching the concepts related to e-commerce and understanding its relationship with different sectors and markets.

Defines the fundamental concepts of e-commerce and explains its historical development, types, and technological infrastructure.
Explains the relationship between e-commerce and the digital economy, and analyzes its interaction with different sectors and markets.
Analyzes various e-commerce business models and applies theoretical knowledge to case studies involving real or simulated digital businesses.
Evaluates current issues in e-commerce, including cybersecurity, taxation, ethics, and digital dependency, and assesses their implications for sustainable digital business practices.
