OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of macroeconomic concepts, indicators, and models that address the economy as a whole. The aim is to develop students' skills in analyzing macroeconomic variables such as national income, inflation, unemployment, economic growth, monetary and fiscal policies, and in interpreting economic events.
Contents of the Course Unit: This course examines fundamental macroeconomic topics such as national income calculations, inflation, unemployment, economic growth, monetary and fiscal policies, and aggregate demand and aggregate supply analyses.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Defines fundamental macroeconomic concepts and indicators such as national income, inflation, unemployment, economic growth, aggregate demand, and aggregate supply.
Explains macroeconomic models (Classical, Keynesian, IS–LM) and applies them to interpret short-run and long-run economic equilibrium conditions.
Analyzes the effects of monetary and fiscal policies on output, employment, inflation, and interest rates in both closed and open economy frameworks.
Evaluates macroeconomic developments, global crises, and policy responses by interpreting economic data and assessing their implications for economic stability and growth.
