OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to enable students to understand financial decision-making processes in businesses and to effectively evaluate financial analysis, planning, investment and financing decisions.
Contents of the Course Unit: The Financial Management in Business course aims to create value by analyzing the financial decision processes of businesses, the effective use of resources, and investment and financing alternatives.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explains financial decision-making processes in firms and analyzes financial statements using ratio and cash flow analysis techniques.
Applies capital budgeting methods (e.g., NPV, IRR, Payback) and cost of capital calculations to evaluate investment and financing alternatives.
Analyzes short-term and long-term financing strategies, working capital management decisions, and capital structure choices in terms of risk and return trade-offs.
Evaluates corporate financial performance and financial planning decisions by assessing dividend policy, risk management practices, and value creation for the firm.
