The aim of this course is to introduce the fundamental concepts of digital transformation in healthcare, to familiarize students with the information systems used in healthcare institutions, and to enable them to acquire the competence to use digital health applications effectively, safely, and ethically. The course expands upon this objective by covering topics such as health record management, health information systems, digital applications in hospitals and healthcare institutions, data security, remote healthcare services, and digital health processes. |

The course begins with an examination of the concept of digital health and the purpose and importance of health records. Factors affecting health, healthcare institutions and their functions, and types of health information systems are examined. The structure of healthcare organization and hospital management in Turkey is evaluated. Furthermore, hospital information systems, human resources information systems, health data management, data security, and privacy issues are discussed. Remote healthcare applications, appointment systems, emergency and ambulance services, polyclinic and clinic information systems, and insurance and medication tracking processes in digital health are also evaluated and covered within the scope of the course. |
